WSP is currently initiating a search for a Civil Senior Supervising Engineer (Drainage) for our Civil Group in the Houston office with experience in the roadway design of transportation projects.  This position will function as the lead engineer on major projects for state and local agency clients, including cities, counties, and regional transportation planning authorities as well as a supervisory role that includes responsibility of mentoring and taking part of business development of younger staff.
  • Leading a Drainage Design team for large scale transportation projects.
  • Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and overseeing the work of Staff-level Engineers.
  • Directing client interaction.
  • Support business development initiatives.
  • Work as part of a design team to continually seek to identify and implement improved technical solutions throughout final design.
  • Perform quality assurance/quality control, ensuring that cost, schedule and quality objectives are met for transportation engineering activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience in highway drainage design and plan production.
  • Experience with hydrology, hydraulics and stormwater management, drainage and erosion control design.
  • TX Professional Engineering (PE) License.
  • Experience on Transportation Projects for both TXDOT and Local Municipalities in Texas.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Affiliation with professional societies is highly desirable
