This foreman position is specifically for the following type:
CONCRETE FOREMAN
Responsibilities:
Lead daily and weekly safety meetings, and ensure crew members follow safety policies
Understanding plans and specifications
Supervise crew of craft workers including carpenters, laborers, and equipment operators
Supervise crew forming and pouring/finishing all types of concrete pours related to highway construction work
Supervise crew setting bridge deck panels and beams
Supervise crew tying/setting rebarcages
Crane rigging and flagging
Plan and schedule the weeks work for crew and supply needs
Perform time keeping duties
Be able to understand survey layout
Communicate with inspectors
Rates depend upon experience
Must have high standard and pride of quality of workmanship
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of construction experience working with concrete forms, bridges, retaining walls, drainage structures or other rough carpentry work
Previous experience leading, and supervising craft employees is highly desired
Must be able to pass a drug screening and a motor vehicle report/background check
Good work ethic
Be able to provide references
Job Description
The foreman is responsible for safety, directing, specific tasks, and interpreting plans.
Responsibilities:
Including but not limited to:
Safety of crew and surroundings
Working with Senior/General Foreman to ensure materials and products arrive on time
Preview plans and work packages
Carry out assigned daily tasks
Make work plan for specific job or task
Ensure all grades and lines are accurate
Communicate with owners and inspectors
As an agent of the company, must be financially responsible in all endeavors
Track and agree to daily pay quantities with owner
Develop relationships with owners representatives and inspectors
Understand and implement appropriate quality control procedures
Develop and train hourly craft workers
Communicate effectively with all team members
Monitor daily crew productions based on established budgets
Must continuously strive to learn latest techniques and means & methods of craft and teach same to crew.
Continuous update & submission to supervision of inventory list of all tools, equipment, heavy equipment, rentals and reusable materials assigned to them and be responsible for condition and security of same.
Must have a keen eye for waste and inefficient use of time, manpower, equipment, materials, and all other resources at all times. Continually striving for optimum use and efficiency of all resources.
Must have high standard and pride of quality of workmanship

Qualifications:
At least 5 years in construction
At least 2 years supervising crews
Must be able to communicate well
Must be able to read plans and install grades
Must be considered at a journeymans level at his/her craft
Must have strong math computation skills
