RK&K's Construction Engineering Inspection and Construction Management Division is hiring Construction Inspectors for our Keyser, WV office. Work located in and around District 5 (Keyser, Berkeley, Grant, Hampshire, Jefferson, Mineral, Morgan). 

Essential Functions

• Provide construction management support, including inspection and monitoring of construction structures to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Fully engage in solving complex problems to provide technical evaluation and sound solutions
• Ability to communicate effectively across different platforms with project management, clients, stakeholders, and contractors
• Interface with clients, state and federal agencies, and other engineering disciplines on construction projects
• Recordkeeping and reporting as required

RK&K hires those with contracting, military, surveying, and related experience; we will provide further training.

Work Experience

• Zero (0) to Four (4) years of relevant experience in materials, standards, and specifications related to state highway projects and facilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Capable of working independently on small construction projects
• Ability to pass Criminal History Background Check (CHBC)
• Acceptable driving record

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Inspection experience including roadway, asphalt, concrete, pavement markings, structure and bridge construction methods
• WVDOT and/or WVDOH ( West Virginia Department of Highways ) Material Certifications are a plus (Asphalt , Concrete , Pavement Marking , Soils , Intermediate Traffic Control Certified , etc. )
• TRET ( West Virginia Transportation Engineering Technician ) certification
