*D.R. Horton, Inc.*is currently looking for an*_Construction Operations Assistant_*. The right candidate will coordinate the day-to-day operations of the construction office including the distribution of OSHA compliance and construction safety.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Handle all paperwork and the flow of paperwork to and from the main office, contractors, and the field office.
Support the Construction, Purchasing, and Permitting departments with administrative duties
Assist and prepare plan packages for submittal
Maintain department files
Follow up on submitted permit applications
Upload documents and plans for electronic submittal
Updating projects vendor lists
Updating superintendent list
Keeping all plans updated and in stock
New project product and project binders
Coordinate all paperwork for vendors
Ensure that contractors' schedules are sent to them
Make sure that all contractors have paperwork
Ensure that all files and paperwork are brought back to the office
Ensure that purchase orders are sent in a timely manner
Track and distribute the production schedule
Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
Able to work overtime

Maintain accurate records and reports for the Construction, Purchasing, and Permitting Departments
Pick up starts from the main office
Keep all paper and files in order
* Additional duties as assigned
*Education and/or Experience*
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
High proficiency with MS Office especially Excel & Email
Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision and peripheral vision.

*Preferred Qualifications*
* Certification in the 10-hour OSHA course is preferred
* Construction background is desired but not required
* JDE experience preferred
* Knowledge and proficiency in residential blueprint reading beneficial
