D.R. Horton, Inc.*is currently looking for a*_Construction Operations Coordinator_*for their Construction Department. The right candidate will Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the construction office including distribution of OSHA compliance and construction safety.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Coordinate plan revisions, redlines, issues with architects, drafting, engineers, purchasing, trades, field superintendents and management.
* Coordinate structural repairs between the field and engineers, and field inspection issues between the field, architects and engineers
* Coordinate issues between superintendents and the support team
* Verify all new versions of plans from architect with any revisions or redlines. Manage plans for mechanical and plumbing and submit them to the architect to include in construction document sets
* Update the scheduling system CSMe to reflect relocation of field personnel, repair or rebuild schedules. Maintain schedule changes to build schedules as requested from management and Purchasing.
* Assist superintendents and trades with questions pertaining to the system
* Input completion dates in JDE for schedule cost codes when requested from accounting for trade payment
* Coordinate with Starts Coordinators the proper release to construction dates to maintain accuracy in CSMe
* Create OSHA set up for all subdivisions (maintenance and enforcement)
* Update and maintain MSDS books for the field, as well as Field Safety Program Book
* Manage Incident Reports from the field
* Compile and track all safety training: Red Vector (OSHA Training), monthly newsletter quizzes, toolbox talks and quizzes, etc.
* Conduct new hire orientations to communicate safety program and requirements, use of hard-hats and safety glasses
* Provide initial training and orientation for Assistant Superintendents in the use of CSMe, DHI Works, Vendor Extranet, Purchasing Checklists and Cabinet Layouts
* Organize and maintain up-to-date plans in subdivision specific files to be up-to-date and consistent with the current revisions
* Maintain all construction office requirements: OSHA posters, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, caution tape, SDS books, Field Safety Program Books, etc.
* Update and upload current plans to the Vendor Extranet
* Update in JDE superintendent subdivision assignments and verify the correct build schedule templates for plans with purchasing
* Update and distribute superintendent's phone list
* Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
* Able to work overtime
* Able to travel overnight
*Education and/or Experience*
* Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
* Three (3) to Five (5) years related experience and/or training
* Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
* Proficiency with MS Office and email
*Other Qualifications*
* Certification in the 10-hour OSHA course is preferred
* Construction background is desired but not required
* JDE experience preferred
* Knowledge and proficiency in residential blueprint reading beneficial
