Construction Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Construction Project Manager to join our Calamar team in the Charlotte Metropolitan area. You will organize and oversee and manage construction projects from design to finish, An excellent Construction Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.

The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project.
• Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
• Develop estimates.
• Review and negotiate contracts with external vendors.
• Ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
• Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed.
• Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.

• Bachelor’s degree Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture or related field of study required, Master's preferred.
• 5+ years experience in Construction/Project management.
• Profficient use of Microsoft Office Software Programs, Procore and other industry standard computer programs.
• Previous experience in commercial construction.
• Previous experience with wood framed multi-story construction.
• OSHA 10 Certification required. Knowledge of OSHA Compliance Construction Standards.
• A valid Driver's License (travel required)
