Controls Specialist/Controls Engineer

kWMCE, is currently initiating a search for a Controls Specialist/ Controls Engineer in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin office.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical design and co-ordination of design activities including attendance at regular internal development & coordination meetings.
  • Assist in the project tendering process as a subject matter expert (SME).
  • Develop sequence of operation documents, functional design specifications & software design specifications.
  • Building Information Modeling using REVIT
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite skills.  Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Strong communications skills, liaising with internal and external design and construction team members.
  • Development of technical drawings and schematics.
  • Design & selection of field instrumentation and hardware.
  • Develop instrument lists, Input Output point lists.
  • Develop commissioning documentation & procedures (FAT/SAT/IST scripts).
  • Keep up to date with industry practices and explore new & emerging industry products, technologies and practices.
  • An understanding (and maintain) work flow processes.
  • Flexibility and ability to undertake additional duties as requested. Domestic and international travel may be required from time to time.

Requirements

Requirements :
  • Highly motivated, intuitive, initiative, a solid team player and the ability to work independently.
  • Organized with the ability to manage and prioritize workloads.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
  • Written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Flexible, willing and able to manage multiple complex projects at the same time.
  • Sound knowledge of network architecture & topology, computer hardware and software systems.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
 
Preferred:
  • An engineering degree in any of Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Automation, Instrumentation.
