As a Corporate Tax Accountant working for Taylor Morrison you will be responsible for the preparation of the quarterly and annual provision for income taxes, federal and state income tax compliance, and assisting with tax research and documentation.
This opportunity is located in Scottsdale, AZ in the corporate office and will be office-centric hybrid. There will be flexibility to work from home a couple of days per week following training and depending on needs of the business.

We trust that as a Corporate Tax Accountant you will: (responsibilities)
- Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations and supporting workpapers
- Assist with income tax disclosures and footnotes in line with SEC and PCAOB requirements
- Prepare supporting documentation for federal and state tax returns
- Maintain internal controls around the tax process for accuracy
- Draft responses to governmental notices
- Assist with tax controversy/audits that may arise
- Assist with tax research and developing tax-saving strategies
- Perform research and prepare technical tax memorandums
- You are willing to perform other duties as assigned

About you:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Master’s Degree in taxation or accounting preferred
- CPA Certification or eligible to sit for the CPA exam
- <2 years of experience in public accounting
- Experience preparing corporate and partnership tax returns preferred
- Familiarity with ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes
- Strong accounting and analytical skills
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point, Alteryx, PowerBI
FLSA Status: Exempt

- Act as a primary component of which involves the exercise of independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance

- Report to Division/Corporate Office/Community daily and adhere to schedule

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
- The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
