Job Description:

Parsons' mission critical Space and Geospatial Solutions team is looking to add a sharp Cost Point Analyst to our growing team.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Sources, purchases, plans, and schedules (MS Project experience is beneficial to this role) the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods, and related material.
  • In front-end procurement mode, analyzes data and determines factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
  • Reviews proposals, works with procurement to negotiate prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, approves payment, and maintains necessary records of material movement.
  • Coordinates and follows up with production, supplier, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services.
  • Effectively coordinates /communicates on a daily basis with the engineering managers/requesters, co-workers, and the program office
  • Performs Planner duties in support of the Program's efforts ranging from the East to West costs of the US
  • Attends program and/or customer meetings
  • Sources assigned Purchase (Material) Requests (experience with CostPoint or a similar tool is beneficial to this role)
  • Places and tracks Purchase card orders and works with the finance team to accurately record expenditures
  • Solicits budgetary quotes for programs
  • Supports DCAA audit requests and inquires
  • Ensures the unimpeded flow of material and services through the Acquisition, Integration, Production, and Delivery processes
  • Coordinates each step of the procurement process from cradle to grave
  • Thoroughly understands contract schedule and material requirements, and is abreast of internal/external policies and procedures
  • Contributes to material sales by expediting, receiving, & invoicing
  • Contributes to affordability through supplier collaboration and development
  • Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
  • Ensures 100% COMPLIANT procurements and mitigates risk to the company and program through process excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement

Required Experience:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience with a AA/AS OR 5+ years of relevant experience with a Highschool Diploma
  • Attention to detail
  • Moderate or greater proficiency with Excel functions and workbooks
  • Ability to develop, prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
  • Ability to manage one's own time
  • Ability to analyze information and evaluate options to choose the best solution and solve problems
  • Ability to work independently and as a group
  • Detail oriented and task driven
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Maintains a valid driver's license and be insurable under company insurance provider/program
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with CostPoint (preferred)
  • Understand federal government regulations (both current and expected changes) relevant to all company services
  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers, co-workers, vendors, clients in a professional manner
  • Good to excellent computer skills and proficient with MS Office
  • Knowledge of various contract billing types including but not limited to fixed price, time and materials, and cost plus
  • Knowledge of various business terminology including IDIQs, Risk Management, Period of Performance, work breakdown structures, etc.
  • Ability to read and comprehend moderate to complex written and oral communication

Security Clearance: Eligible to obtain a Secret Security Clearance and other as needed.

The anticipated annualized full time target compensation (median) for this position is: $115,000.00.
