Job Description:

Are you ready to put your Cyber Incident Response experience to work on complex projects in support of an exciting customer mission? Are you great with people and have a track record of delivering innovative and secure systems to satisfy the customer's mission?

Parsons is now hiring an experienced Cyber Incident Responder (Detect / Response) with the desire to work on developing innovative solutions to support the reliable operation of computer systems. You will be responsible for enhancing government customer capabilities while addressing security challenges.

Responsibilities:

Performs forensic analysis of digital information and gathers and handles evidence. Identifies network computer intrusion evidence and perpetrators. Responsible for strengthening the defensive posture and cyber defense operational readiness of an IT Enterprise our Enterprise Cyber Network Defense (ECND) program defends and protects Government assets from external Cyber Security attacks and Insider Threats that can potentially cause or create data, systems, networks, and personnel vulnerabilities.

The responsibilities of the Cyber Incident Responder (Detect / Response) position include the following:

  • Performs forensic analysis of digital information and gathers and handles evidence. Identifies network computer intrusion evidence and perpetrators, and coordinates with other government agencies to record and report incidents.
  • Monitors Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) to identify security issues for remediation.
  • Ensures the integrity and protection of networks, systems, and applications by technical enforcement of organizational security policies, through monitoring of vulnerability scanning devices.
  • Prepare incident reports of analysis methodology and results.
  • Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technical staff members.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
  • Continuously evaluate and make recommendations for the enhancement of the organization's security posture.
  • Position may require evening, weekend or shift-work (depending on operational tempo).

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience and Education in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Security or related discipline
    • 12+ years relevant experience with HS/GED
    • 10+ years Associates Degree
    • 8+ years Bachelor's Degree
    • 6+ years Master's Degree
    • 4+ years PhD
  • Experience performing the job responsibilities listed above.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification
  • Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DoD 8570 Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) Incident Responder Certification

The anticipated annualized full time target compensation (median) for this position is: $130,000.00.
