Job Description Summary
As a Director, Land Investment Initiatives working for Taylor Morrison you will have responsibility for strategic assessment, launch, and managerial support for a number of current and prospective land investment initiatives. Further you will act as a liaison between corporate departments, field operations, and external fund managers in managing, optimizing, and reporting these varied vehicles.Job Details
What Youll Do
Analyze and financially model prospective land ventures.
Make recommendations to Executive leadership on prospective vehicles.
Assist with ad hoc and regular reporting of initiatives/vehicles.
Partner with and advise Regional and Divisional leadership on employing and optimizing vehicles toward land investment.
Partner with Treasury Department in funding activity consistent with vehicles.
Prospectively assist in the build-out of a sustainable development platform.
Maintain a close relationship with, and support, the Companys Portfolio Management Committee as multiple scenarios are sought to optimize asset financing structures, as well as the overall land portfolio.
Ensure compliance of audit items.
Develop business relationship with external partners and industry contacts
Perform other duties as assigned

You might be just who were looking for if you have
Graduate degree in Finance, Land Use Planning, Economics, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Real Estate, Public Administration, Land Development, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
10+ years in acquisition, finance, development and entitlement, portfolio management, or related activities
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills including the ability to interact successfully with Region/Division and Corporate Management across the company, as well as with external constituents.
Knowledge of residential Real Estate economics, Construction and Development Budgeting, Accounting practices and general macro trends
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make public presentations to large and small groups, and research and present strategic business scenarios and concepts
Self-motivator with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Expertise with MS Office suite, with specific focus on Excel
Knowledge of real estate entitlement requirements and process across various markets
Prior experience with homebuilding public companies preferred
FLSA Status: Exempt
Will have responsibilities such as:
Interviewing, selecting, and training employees
Setting rates of pay and hours of work
Appraising productivity; handling employee grievances or complaints, or disciplining employees
Determining work techniques
Planning the work
Apportioning work among employees
Determining the types of equipment to be used in performing work, or materials needed
Planning budgets for work
Monitoring work for legal or regulatory compliance
Providing for safety and security of the workplace

Physical Demands:
Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
*Taylor Morrison experience and/or successful completion of training program may override required education and/or experience requirement.
