Bristol Industries, LLC is seeking a qualified Director of IT in either our Anchorage, AK; Marysville, WA; Temecula, CA; Golden, CO; Tempe, AZ; San Antonio, TX; or Wilmington, NC office.  The Director of IT will be responsible for the overall management of our NIST 800-171 compliant IT infrastructure and the technical direction of the company. This fast-paced, hands-on leadership position reports to the CEO and is responsible for infrastructure and network system implementations, operations, and monitoring. The Director of IT is responsible for supporting critical infrastructure as well as providing solutions to technical challenges. This position also manages external IT vendors and has direct contact with internal department leaders and end users at job sites nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage external IT staff and consultants including Help Desk Technicians, System Administrators, and Database Administrators
  • Manage and maintain NIST 800-171 compliant cyber security infrastructure
  • Supervise and assist in the administration of the following technologies:
    • Microsoft Azure Active Directory
    • Windows Remote Desktop
    • Enterprise backup software
    • Telephony system, including call routing and phone setup
    • Microsoft desktop operating systems and Office applications
    • Microsoft Azure, Office365, Intune, and/or other cloud-based platforms
  • Maintain documented policies and procedures
  • Provide detailed project planning and execution steps to ensure successful rollout of infrastructure activities
  • Ensure end-user satisfaction through prompt resolution of incidents and service requests by outsourced providers
  • Implement roadmap for infrastructure growth and modernization aligned with company mission and values
  • Report on IT department goals, performance, trends and forecasts
  • Oversee Change Management for enterprise systems
  • Troubleshoot network issues (WAN and LAN), FTP, and VPN
  • Manage overall IT budget, and the purchasing and stocking of technology supplies and licenses

Requirements

  • CISSP, CIPP, CISA or CISM certification within one year of hire
  • Strong focus on customer service and ensuring the best technology experience for users
  • Experience working with or managing a NIST compliant infrastructure
  • Detail-oriented, organized and focused on quality
  • Flexible and creative; able to handle changing priorities
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and DNS, switch configuration, and general network setup
  • Windows, Citrix, SQL, Script writing experience
  • Extensive systems and network troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience adapting to rapidly changing environments and developing/documenting IT operational procedures, documentation, and related operations framework
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (capable of explaining simple procedures in writing or verbally; good phone skills)
  • Ability to work with all levels of management internal and external to the company and deliver first-class customer service
  • Microsoft Azure, 365 Administration, or related certifications
  • CCNA, Network+ or related certifications
  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills; structured thinker
  • Ability to prioritize based on business and technical needs

Bachelors or better.

Experience

3 years of management experience.  7 years experience administering infrastructure and network systems (DoD or government contracting preferred).
