The Director of Sales - Battery Energy Storage (BES) Solutions is responsible for coordinating the development of BESS projects with RREG clients. This will include providing use cases for hybrid PV+BESS and stand-alone BESS projects along with consultative assistance for performance modeling, efficient design concepts, siting, and O&M strategies. The Director of BESS is integrally involved in the creation, development and launch of future RREG storage related services and solutions. This includes evaluating new technologies and service offerings, collecting customer feedback and market requirements, performing ongoing industry and trade research required for the formulation of BESS related Products/Services/Solutions strategies. The position requires working closely with relevant cross functional teams and operations Divisions during the Products/Services/Solutions development phase and coordinating with Corporate Marketing Communications group to develop product launch materials supporting Rosendin’s messaging priorities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. Provide leadership and support to short and long-term initiatives for the RREG (Rosendin Renewable Energy Group) energy storage, microgrid and affiliated renewable energy initiatives.
  2. This position will serve as a subject matter expert for BESS and other Storage technology applications
  3. Develop plans for new BESS related products, services, and solutions with RREG stakeholder teams, including key activities required to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.
  4. Plan the launches of new BESS related products/services/solutions and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
  5. Manage all BESS related Market intelligence activities inclusive of industry, trade, competitor, and customer research: Be the expert on existing and target buyers, who they are and clearly understand their decision-making criteria
  6. Perform ongoing BESS EPC competitor products/services/solutions benchmarking activities to assure RREG is an expert on our competition and how they are currently positioned and what they are planning for in the future.
  7. Coordinate development of BESS designs based on client use cases.
  8. Assist in evaluating BESS proposals made to client base.
  9. Assist in negotiating key contractual requirements for BESS projects.
  10. Attend project design team meetings. Interface with various team members, particularly the client, integrator, structural, and civil contractor/engineer.
  11. The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • College degree in engineering, Construction, Statistics, Finance, or similar energy industry-related field
  • 10+ years in BESS product/solutions development, technical sales, and marketing experience
  •   Experience developing and supporting B2B marketing and business development plans

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Project management skills: can prioritize high impact activities and keep complicated projects moving forward, working with cross-functional teams
  • Extensive working knowledge of construction and renewable energy solutions, EPC means and methods and markets
  • Working knowledge of PVsyst and similar sizing/modeling tools
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with ability to communicate clearly to diverse audiences and interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and other

  • 25%

  WORKING CONDITIONS:

  •   General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
  •  Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
  • Noise level is usually low to medium
  •   Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
