Director of Talent Acquisition - Lead the business’s recruiting efforts and is the head of the entire talent acquisition department.   The Director of Recruiting oversees full cycle recruitment in support of all of the business’s functions.

SUMMARY :

The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for the strategic direction and objectives of the COE, which in turn supports the business’s growth while simultaneously maintaining its culture and quality standards. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. Lead the development and implementation of strategic talent acquisition tactics and leads the evaluation of the entire recruiting function, strategies, and procedures in order to find opportunities for improvement.
  2. Assesses external labor market conditions, develops the most effective, economical, and appropriate sources/channels and methods to recruit talent.
  3. Oversee full cycle recruitment in support of all the business’s functions.
  4. Implements practices that allow the business to attract topmost talent to the business.
  5. Build, engage, inspire, manage, and develop a high-performing recruiting team.
  6. Lead your team to develop innovative and scalable solutions to proactively build diverse candidate pools and deliver talent to hiring management to meet hiring needs.
  7. Design and execute innovative sourcing strategies and ensure a high-touch candidate experience.
  8. Partner with senior leadership by serving as an advisor for key leadership hires and talent needs within the business.
  9. Share best practices in recruiting and sourcing as well as market data to educate hiring teams on market landscape for talent.
  10. Set team performance goals and metrics, timeline and manage progress.
  11. Leverage data to measure the effectiveness of current practices and drive decisions regarding new strategy and tactics.
  12. Deliver talent and manage candidate pipeline activity to meet or exceed hiring timelines and deliverables.
  13. The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or other related profession preferred
  • Additional HR certifications a plus (PHR, SHRM-SP)
  • Minimum 8 years working experience in a senior recruiting position
  • Minimum 3 years leading a talent acquisition team
  • Experience with creative approaching to sourcing talent a plus
  • Proven and successful experience managing full-cycle recruiting processes consisting of sourcing, screening, and on-boarding
  • Experience with an HRIS and ATS database (Taleo/Oracle preferred)
  • Experience partnering with leadership and driving hiring initiatives at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in the construction industry preferred
  • Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  •  Proficiet with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  •  Develop and track the success of different strategies for sourcing and attracting talent
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
  •  Work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
  •  Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
  • I Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff, vendors, clients, and others

TRAVEL :

  • Up to 25% as needed

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
  • Noise level is usually low to medium.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
