The Airspace District Project Coordinator will be a trusted team member who provides expertise in cross-programmatic planning and coordination of implementation activities as well as operational activities throughout the District. This position will work closely with and enhance the current project support entities within Planning and Requirements Groups (PRG), Engineering Services (ES), Technical Services (TS), System Support Centers (SSCs) and the Districts. The position will use the FAA project management system and tools (e.g., Corporate Work Plan [CWP]) to identify, coordinate and track implementation activities at the district level.
Requirements
Minimum Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in a discipline that specializes in project coordination and oversight activities related to new construction or installation, restoration, service life extension, demolition/removal, and refurbishment of facilities. For example: Project Management, Engineering, Building and Construction Management or Strategic Management.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience working on non- FAA projects that are related to new construction or installation, restoration, service life extension, demolition/removal, and refurbishment in other than FAA Facilities.
- The Coordinator will be a NAS Program and Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will serve as the joint liaison between the District Office/SSC, Engineering Services, PRG, Headquarters program offices, local Airport District Office personnel, and local commercial airport entities.
- Direct FAA experience is a plus.
