Job Duties
The selected candidate will be responsible for completing user access, initiating projects and tracking licenses in PlanGrid; conducting upgrade activities such as analyzing release notes against implemented software for impacts. They will also be responsible for communications and change management planning and rollouts for all eCon initiatives; creating communications plans, and materials for presentations and training, conducting trainings and large audience presentations. In addition, the selected candidate will be instrumental in no code/low code implementations â with follow through on Project Initiations, User Access Control, trainings and customer support. Should expect responsibilities to continually morph as other no code/low code solutions are devised. They will also plan, schedule, and coordinate engineering program activities such that deliverables are met within the established scope and timeline; analyze and interpret engineering data and information; prepare complete, clear and concise reports and recommendations. Must be able to demonstrate customer service and work habits that reflect the VDOT Values and coordinates the flow of information both orally and in writing. Customer and User support is critical in this role.
Minimum Qualifications
⢠Ability to read and comprehend plans.
⢠Valid driver's license.
⢠Skill in the use of computers and web-based applications.
⢠Ability to gather and analyze data and prepare clear and concise technical reports.
⢠Thorough knowledge of standard construction methods and procedures.
⢠Knowledge of engineering procedures involving project management and design consultants.
⢠Knowledge of construction specifications and contract provisions.
⢠Demonstrated ability to perform mathematical calculations.
Additional Considerations
⢠Extensive highway construction experience involving methods, cost estimation, and construction inspection work.
⢠Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field preferred; equivalent experience or training may substitute for degree.
⢠Certification in soils, aggregates, hydraulic cement concrete, asphalt concrete, construction safety, traffic signalizations, and value engineering.
⢠Knowledge of the SDLC and its associated phases; understanding and uses of development environments.
⢠Great written and verbal skills along with high comfort in Public Speaking to large audiences.
⢠Must be organized.

VDOT is an emergency operation agency. Positions physically working within Central Office locations may be designated upon request and coordination among the respective District Engineer or Administrator and Chief. Assignments are updated annually. Not all designated employees are provided an emergency operations assignment.
