Engineer/Specialist III

Parsons is looking for Modeling and Simulation Engineers to be responsible for supporting contract task efforts in support of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). The successful candidate will support development of Analysis and Training Tools and models. Typical projects involve building and integrating physics-based models into simulation frameworks.

  • POSITION OVERVIEW:

    Performs a variety of engineering tasks related to the development, operation, and maintenance of complex technology systems. Design work may include logic design, circuit design, I/O design, instrumentation design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, network structure design, and analog or binary systems engineering. Analyzes integration of system processes and methodologies to ensure effectiveness of total system performance. Incumbents typically have a BS/MS degree in Computer Science or an engineering, technical, or scientific discipline specifically related to area of specialty.

    This is the level of full competence that all professionals are expected to achieve in the function. It is sometimes called the journey-level.

    Manages program and project implementation and makes significant contributions to department goals and planning efforts.

    Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    BS degree and typically 5+ years of related professional experience.
    (NOTE: Newly-hired PhD graduates are typically hired into this level.)

    BS degree and typically 5+ years of related professional experience. Note: 5 years of direct experience substitutes for a BS degree with a minimum of 10 years experience.

    TS clearance

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain, or currently possess Top Secret clearance.
