The Environmental Manager ( Renewable ) is responsible for managing site environmental conditions for multiple project sites.  This include storm water prevention measures, wild-life interaction, spills prevention and management, conservation inspections, post event inspections, etc. 


  1. Work with management team to help ensure that each project is compliant with the state and county requirements, while properly monitoring and storing appropriate data needed per those requirements.
  2. Provide accurate budgets during the bidding process for landscape and re-vegetation needs on all upcoming projects.
  3. Bid out and negotiate subcontractors for scope pertaining to landscape, stormwater, dust control and re-vegetation.
  4. Review contracts from owners for any discrepancies that may hold REI accountable for scope that is not included regarding landscape, stormwater, dust control and re-vegetation.
  5. Provide training and audit projects’ stormwater and dust control compliance/permits.
  6. Manage landscape and re-vegetation subcontractors for correct and complete install with allotted timeframe per project.
  7. Review and provide VE for landscape and re-vegetation requirements during bidding process.
  8. Complete all Quarterly, Annual and Notice of Termination reports for REI projects.
  9. Management of Erosion, Sediment, Dust and SWPPP requirements.
  10. Complete Rain Event Action Plans on sites that are required.
  11. Manage all aspects of Land Resources per project.
  12. Manage all required aspects of Permitting, AHJ, Owner Communications and any other aspects required to Land Resource scopes.
  13. The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or other related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the construction industry as an Environmental Compliance Manager or associated role. 
  • Can be a combination of education, training and relevant experience


  • Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedure
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance
  • Effective performance management skills
  • Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others


  • Up to 50% to 75%


  • General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
  • Noise level is usually low to medium
  • Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
