WSP is currently initiating a search for an Environment Intern for our San Jose, CA office.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Develop thorough knowledge of standard field sampling procedures for various environmental projects (soil, groundwater, surface water/sediment, and air)
  • Document and record field data and observations in a clear and organized manner, and prepare logs and other forms from the field notes
  • Provide oversight and direction to various contractors while conducting site investigation and remediation work
  • Prepare site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs), and demonstrate the ability to implement safe work practices in the field in accordance with the HASP and other applicable regulations
  • Conduct due diligence, and Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments of active and vacant properties
