Job Description:

We are actively looking for a Lead Geographical Information Systems and Data Analytics Analyst to help solve our customers problems, by providing integrated database solutions, designed for optimal performance. In this role, you will provide technical leadership to a team of analysts in GIS, data analytics, and database management principles for environmental remediation, water quality, transportation, and utilities planning projects. Key responsibilities include developing GIS databases from various sources, sharepoint site customization, developing data workflows, extracting / managing data from internal and external sources as well as presenting data for science and engineering projects.

Additional Duties include:

Assist with the evaluation of data sets and engineer solutions for integrating into GIS, SQL, Sharepoint PowerBI, and Equis databases

Work with Project managers/engineers to design and integrate data analytic dashboards into project workflows.

Perform daily developer functions such as developing queries and reports based on customer requirements.

Develop, sustain, and preserve user manuals and instructions that guide customers in executing data access functions such as running queries and reports.

Development strategic roadmaps to support enterprise GIS departments

Analyzing complex GIS data analysis problems and providing expertise to identify, evaluate, and develop cost-effective solutions for internal and external clients

Use relational databases to extract data and use as input into various computational models

Provide subject matter expertise for designing geodatabases, and designing/developing web mapping applications.

Provide presentations to clients, conferences webinars and assist in training developing our internal staff on the use of new GIS software.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in relevant field

Minimum of 8 years of experience in GIS and data analytics applications

Experience with MS Access, Microsoft SQL Server, Sharepoint PowerBI, ArcGIS Online and Portal Administration, and similar relational databases.

Experience building and scheduling data integration scripts that automate data from multiple sources (Oracle, SQL, files)

Ability to technically lead a team of GIS and database managers

Experience with performing these functions above in transportation, environmental, industrial or federal markets preferred.

Strong communication skills and the ability to create and present information to technical and non-technical stakeholders
