Identifies medical equipment requirements working with healthcare professionals through user group meetings and planning work sessions. Coordinates medical equipment specification information from vendors with design team members including architects, engineers and other consultants for the completion of construction documents. Responsible for preparing reports, schedules, location drawings and documents and budgets for the planned equipment\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EJob Responsibilities:\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003EPerforms other duties as assigned.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EIdentifies, evaluates and quantifies existing project equipment to determine potential reuse and/or retirement of equipment. Develops project equipment lists for client and architect/engineer use, according to established standards and guidelines. Maintains knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies and products.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EReviews project drawings and coordinates equipment utility requirements for the development of architectural and engineering plans. Communicates related information between the project team, hospital personnel, vendors, architects and contractors.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EDevelops and updates budgets for project medical equipment requirements. Sets daily and long-range priorities to meet established project deadlines. Facilitates meetings with medical personnel to establish appropriate type, quantities, placement and use of medical equipment.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EProvides equipment specifications, utility requirements information, and related considerations during the design process to insure the correct development of final construction documentation.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EEvaluates a projects needs and develops recommendations for equipment to be utilized in construction projects for medical facilities.\u003C/li\u003E\u003C/ul\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EMinimum Qualifications:\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003ETo qualify you must have a Bachelor\u0027s Degree with a minimum of 3 years of equipment planning experience, ideally with project management experience. Clinical background involving nursing, purchasing, biomedical engineering or other clinical specialties given strong consideration. Significant understanding of medical equipment and hospital environment. Strong communication skills and proven ability to interact with healthcare professionals and clients.
