About the Position:

Hiring an Estimator responsible for estimating, bidding, preparation of detailed written proposals, scope review, contract negotiation, buyout/final pricing, the project setup, pre-construction, and project submittals.

Requirements:

2+ years of experience in commercial construction with experience in Estimating/Project Management, including light gauge metal framing, drywall & finishing, rough carpentry, paint, and ACT.
Experience with Onscreen Takeoff & Quick-Bid Software.
Proficient in reading and interpreting Architectural & Structural drawings.
Analyze plan documents and other data to prepare accurate, detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
Communicate effectively as part of a team and understand sales and negotiating techniques
Comprehensive industry unit pricing to create effective and precise budgets.
Communicate with multiple vendors to prepare material costs and up-to-date bid pricing information.
Attend project site pre-bid meetings, site tours, and post-bid interviews as required.
Coordinate project scheduling to maintain project timelines and commitments.
Develop and maintain accurate unit cost databases.
Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
Capable of validating subcontractor proposals and vendor quotes quickly and accurately.
Skillful in understanding contract specifications.
