Thompson Excavating Inc. is a demolition, excavation and underground utility installation company based out of Maple Valley. Our client basis & most of our work is done throughout the City of Seattle, but we accept jobs all over Western Washington. We are looking for an Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator & Job Foreman/Job Lead to join our team. This person must be a skilled Equipment Operator who specializes in dirt work, excavation and installing underground utilities for new construction. Since we perform residential services in the City of Seattle, you must have the experience of maneuvering equipment in tight, small or confined spaces. We need someone who is motivated, reliable & takes initiative in completing day to day tasks. This person needs to be able to plan and layout jobs from start to finish in order to meet or exceed given project deadlines. You must also be able to assign & delegate tasks for your job to a small, 2-4 man crew, on a daily basis. Good communication between you, your crew and the office staff are a must. You will be responsible for maintaining & submitting daily job sheets for all work performed and materials used on the job by your crew. You must be efficient with heavy equipment, including, but not limited to, Dozers, Excavators & Backhoes. You will also be expected to have the skills needed to use everyday hand tools specific to this construction field of work and have a valid Driver's License to drive company vehicles.
