Foreman - Utility - Heavy Civil

Position Summary:
The Utility Foreman will be responsible for the field operations, management and direction to field employees as directed by the Superintendent.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value Safety, first in everything we do.
- Organize and plan the work with the Superintendent.
- Direct oversight responsibility of time sheets for labor and equipment, as well as daily reports complete with quantities worked.
- Review, maintain, and monitor crews productivity and goals daily.
- Enforce quality control and Company safety policies on all aspects of the work.
- Follow the project construction process to ensure that work is completed on time.
- Conduct daily huddles, stretching exercises, and weekly Toolbox Talk with crew.
- Provide job hazard analysis prior to new work activities.
- Develop material handling plan with Superintendent.
- Ensure that delivery receipts are collected and submitted to field engineers.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years underground utility/Foreman experience.
- Must be able to locate utilities and other buried lines.
- Experience in layout, assembly, and installing underground utilities such as watermain, storm drain systems, etc.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of plans and specs, heavy equipment operations and OSHA safety regulations.
- Understand proper care in handling materials.
- Have a valid driving license.
- OSHA 10 certified.
