This is not your typical GIS job. We are a fortune 500 company, the largest commercial real estate firm in the world, and use location intelligence to drive smart real estate decisions for our clients. Using ArcGIS and other non-traditional map-centric platforms, candidates must be able to balance aesthetics with analytics while working in the fastest paced GIS environment youve never experienced. Candidates must be able to speak passionately to their discipline and interact with our clients and sales professionals to deliver highly customized location stories. Extreme creativity and enthusiasm for GIS is an absolute must.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Serves as project manager and consultant to sales professionals and clients on strategies and deliverables. Defines project requirements, investigates various approaches and acts independently or in a team environment to attain best in class results.

Uses ESRI suite to develop highly specialized maps, both static and web/dynamic, utilizing a wide variety of proprietary, 3rd party, open source, and generalized data sets.

Manages a heavy and diversified workload and can juggle and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines at once.

Maintains a thorough understanding of the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) business and how GIS can be applied to client acquisition and CRE strategy.

Continually investigates and applies new concepts and methodologies in GIS, modeling, and web deliverables.

Evangelizes proprietary GIS platform and location intelligence to our brokers and their clients as a differentiator with the potential to drive traditional and new revenue sources.

Can apply CREATIVE solutions to everyday Commercial Real Estate problems through GIS

Assists with training and communication efforts for both the team and internal clients.

Drives the evolution of our GIS platform by continually researching best in class methods, new applications of GIS, and through continued learning and development.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university with a major or minor in Geography or related field with training in GIS specific applications.

Entry level experience with preference given to candidates with 1-3 years of experience in either GIS, Commercial Real Estate, or Retail Site Selection.

Proficiency within ArcGIS desktop (ArcGIS Pro and ArcMap desktop with Business Analyst, Spatial Analyst, Network Analyst and 3D Analyst extensions) and online (AGOL) platforms.

Ability to create, publish, and consume advanced workflow and data models using Model Builder and ArcGIS Server.

Ability to understand and modify html/css in web-based GIS products to enhance their functionality and appearance is a plus.

Strong diplomatic and customer service skills with the ability navigate and thrive in a large corporate environment.

Ability to create and communicate a GIS Story with end users who are not fluent in data, analytics, and technology.

Able to produce high quality supplemental graphic visualizations to supplement cartography/GIS

Familiarity with data collection and analysis methodologies, processes, and workflows.
