JOB SUMMARY

Provides a welcoming and consistent onboarding experience by serving as the new employee point of contact throughout their transition into roles at Caddell. Partners with HR leadership to implement benefit plans, resolve employee questions, and serves as the liaison with benefit vendors. Develops targeted approaches to strategically communicate benefit options to all employee groups.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develops an effective onboarding program schedule along with hiring department/project site collaborations, and then monitors, administers and maintains it.
  2. Develops custom onboarding materials (e.g. welcome packs and orientation job aids); interface with HR leadership to coordinate action items that align with onboarding; collaborate with theHR staffprocess improvements.
  3. Workswith Marketing Department andHR Director to create on-going strategic communications to maximize benefit usage; annually develops targeted communication plans for each type of employee open enrollments; Processes employee benefits selections at annual open enrollment.
  4. Assists new employee in benefits enrollment and enters the employee selections into vendor databases, updates payroll records to reflect the employee's choices.
  5. Assistsemployees and their families with benefit questions and issues.
  6. Manually updates the benefits platform with benefit changes, terminations, salary changes as required; Administers FMLA, COBRA, ACA reporting; Assists in 401K and deferred compensation administration, including distribution, notification and assisting employees; Processes employee terminations in regards to employee benefits and 401k plans.
  7. Works closely with Payroll/Accounting to resolve discrepancies in vendor invoices and supports audit requests as needed.
  8. Leads the annual benefits fair and serves as the main contact for all benefits related vendors.
  9. Assists in the development, review, and updates of all benefit language in Personnel and other Manuals, including "Benefits at a Glance." Maintains a Contact Book with contact information and log-in information/instructions related to all Benefit Vendors
  10. Performs scanning and indexing of benefits forms and documents for employee personnel records, as required.

REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2 years of experience in benefits administration or at least 10 years of related HR office experience with 5 of those with a focus on benefits administration. Experience with HRIS systems is strongly preferred. Bachelor degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, etc.: CBP, PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/CHRM-SCP

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be a self-starter with strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication. Strong attention to detail, follow up, collaboration, and ability to prioritize conflicting tasks in a high-volume environment. Must be proficient in Microsoft office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Demonstrated knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws.
