Job Description Summary

We are looking for a dedicated IT Manager to join our team as the PMO leader. The responsibilities of the PMO Manager include managing the day-to-day activities in the PMO (details below), providing guidance on multiple epics of various sizes and complexity, administering PMO policies and processes, overseeing project management staff, communicating portfolio health, collaborating with IT and business leaders, and optimizing operations across the portfolio.

What Youll Do

  • Establish a portfolio vision and deploy standard agile management framework across the IT organization
  • Collaborate with IT and Business leaders to define, prioritize, develop, and deliver projects
  • Establish Project Management Office Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Analyze and track financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation
  • Resource management (internal and external), modeling, and allocation to support key business Epics
  • Act as a change agent that will mentor and coach business and IT team members as they adopt the Agile framework
  • Provides IT portfolio health (Time, Budget, Flow, etc) status updates
  • Collaborate with the various departments to establish teamwork from all functions, vendors, and contractors
  • Define capacity model and thresholds that allow IT work to be properly distributed through various work streams to optimize flow
  • Responsible to proactively monitor epics for risk/issues and mitigation plans and communicate those risk for work across program management office Epic
  • Ensures the entire portfolio is aligned and funded to create and maintain the solutions needed to meet defined business outcomes
  • Collaboration with product directors to forecast epic expenses and establish guardrails
  • Accountable to develop a purposeful and flexible portfolio roadmap and cadence for teams to follow
  • Coordinate and support decentralized program execution, while continuously improving and refining the agile methodology
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Administration, or a related field*
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification*
  • Agile certification (SAFe preferred)
  • Experience with agile management tools (Jira, confluence, MSFT ADO, Rally, etc.)
  • A minimum of three years of experience in managing agile portfolios
  • Familiar with CRM/CMS/ERP/HRIS enterprise solutions
  • 6 years progressive experience in IT Project Management
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a supervisory position
  • Experience with Six Sigma a plus
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Robust written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills
  • Champion for change and on-boarding advanced agile concepts
  • Experience with lean portfolio management
  • Sound business acumen
  • Training, coaching, and mentoring skills

FLSA Status: Exempt

Will have responsibilities such as:

  • Interviewing, selecting, and training employees
  • Setting rates of pay and hours of work
  • Appraising productivity; handling employee grievances or complaints, or disciplining employees
  • Determining work techniques
  • Planning the work
  • Apportioning work among employees
  • Determining the types of equipment to be used in performing work, or materials needed
  • Planning budgets for work
  • Monitoring work for legal or regulatory compliance

  • Report to Division/Corporate Office/Community daily and adhere to schedule
  • Ability to oversee direct reports daily and provide guidance as needed
  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer and/or electronic device
  • Ability to have face to face conversations with customers, co-workers and higher level manager
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and move around work environment as needed
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Comply with company policies and procedure

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
  • The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

*Taylor Morrison experience and/or successful completion of training program may override required education and/or experience requirement.
