Junior Construction Estimator
Overview:
Creo Projects is seeking a construction estimator for a full-time position with our small, busy, high-end residential renovation firm in Manhattan.

About our ideal candidate:

You pay attention to the details of your work and are organized and have good time management skills. You are flexible and enjoy collaboration and problem solving.
Estimator responsibilities include:
Prepare accurate estimates for client proposals & make sure they are delivered on time
Maintain bid schedule, download plans, extract data, create summaries, breakdowns and takeoffs
Coordinate job walkthroughs and conduct pricing negotiations with subcontractors and vendors
Follow up on and revise bids in a timely manner to ensure competitiveness
Create submittals for review by architects/client and prepare clear scopes of work
Prepare job binders and setup new projects in project management software
Create and track change orders and material orders
Create project schedules and review field labor daily time sheets.
Other responsibilities as needed (we are a small, hands-on firm!)
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range from $50,000-$75,000, based on experience
Two weeks’ paid vacation

Job skills & requirements:
• Proficiency in Excel
• Proficiency in Takeoff
• Experience with Planswift or other estimating software a plus!
• Working knowledge of best construction practices and building materials
• Able to read and interpret blueprints
• Must be prompt and reliable.
