WSP is currently initiating a search for a Lead Civil Engineer for our Seattle, Washington office. The successful candidate will guide and coordinate major projects through design completion, demonstrating a high degree of creativity, foresight and technical judgment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate design teams
  • Manage design tasks and identify changes and risks
  • Coordinate with other design disciplines, including structures, hydraulics/drainage, traffic, utilities, right-of-way, environmental, and others
  • Lead preparation of design plans, cost estimates and special provisions
  • Develop memorandums and other written technical documents
  • Perform complex design tasks and drawings using computer-aided design (CADD) related to the development of transportation projects in AutoCADD Civil 3d and/or MicroStation Inroads
  • Prepare civil project deliverables, including PS&E documents, engineering reports, project memorandums, and others as required
  • Determine client requirements and contribute to the development of scopes, schedules, and budgets
  • Maintain communications with clients and support business development pursuits
