Lead Estimator

LEAD ESTIMATOR 

The seasoned candidate will be responsible of analyzing, reviewing and interpreting bid documents, contracts, plans and specifications to develop a detailed, accurate and comprehensive estimates for Commercial Swimming Pools, Spas, Splash Pads, Large Fountains and Water Features of all types.

This individual will be responsible to provide detailed written direction to vendors and subcontractors and to solicit, review, evaluate quotes. The position will require close coordination with a mechanical estimator to insure for a comprehensive mechanical estimate. This Individual will report and interact directly with the Executive Team to assist with the evaluation of project risk and the development of bid proposals for commercial projects.

• Individual must be conscientious, honest, trustworthy and a dedicated team player
• Individual must be detail oriented and self-driven, possessing strong organizational and time management skills
• Individual must have strong written and communication skills
• Individual should have the ability to work under pressure, toward deadlines and to compartmentalize multiple estimates at once
• Individual must possess excellent computer skills especially with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Individual must be able to work with limited assistance
• Individual must be familiar with multiple bidding platforms and estimating programs
• Individual must be capable of performing quantity surveys, measurements and takeoffs without assistance (counts, linear measurements, areas, volumes, etc.) for estimating earthwork operations, concrete, reinforcing, and finishes
• Individual must be able to visualize the construction steps required to build a project

Some training will be provided specific to Commercial Aquatic Construction.
