WSP is currently initiating a search for a Lead Scheduler for our Seattle office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  •  Assemble all documentation, including all development information, that was utilized in the preparation of the schedule.
  •  Analyze drawings, specifications and other documentation utilized to prepare the project schedule.
  •  Develop cost and resource load schedules using the Critical Path Method (CPM) of scheduling, utilizing the project’s system of choice, as required, throughout a project's phases.
  •  Develop resource needs and productivity - in coordination with cost estimate development.
  •  Develop and Maintain a Project Earned Value Management System (EVMS) database, to measure progress and calculate performance metrics, analyze and report variances to plan based on predetermined variance thresholds.
  •  Coordinate with lead project personnel and cost estimators for work restrictions, productivity etc.
  •  Analyze delays to current approved Schedule and recommend recovery plan to mitigate impacts.
  •  Provide technical and analytical expertise to project personnel and subordinates.

Minimum Qualifications:
  •  7+ years’ experience
  •  Demonstrated working knowledge of current industry CPM Scheduling software packages, such as Primavera P6 Professional and Microsoft Project
  •  Proven experience in effectively reporting and communicating schedule variances and recommendations to wider project team
  •  Experience in preparing high level project reports and documentation
  •  Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  •  High level of experience in schedule preparation, schedule integration, and schedule analysis
  •  Able to travel as required for project work
  •  Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  •  Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline desired, but not required with applicable experience.
  •  Project Management, schedule or cost management training or certification through Project Management Institute (PMI) or AmericanAssociation of Cost Engineers (AACE) or other relevant industry organization.
  •  Background knowledge of the civil engineering and construction industry desired.
  •  EVM analysis experience
