WSP is currently initiating a search for a Lead Rail Transit Civil Engineer for our Los Angeles, California office.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and perform civil and rail transit design tasks requiring independent judgment from conceptual and preliminary engineering to final design utilizing Micro station Inroads and other applicable design software
  • Responsible for preparation of project reports, plans, specifications, and estimate bid packages ensuring they meet scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements
  • Coordinate with other design disciplines (both WSP and sub-consultant staff) including structures, geotechnical, architectural, hydraulics/drainage, traffic, utilities, right of way, and environmental
  • Meet with clients to present proposed designs and receive feedback.  Maintain a working relationship with client counterparts during design development.
  • Lead technical design meetings, but internal and external.
  • Lead junior civil design staff in technical design tasks and skill and career development.
