Job Description


Summary:

The Mechanical Coordinator is responsible for developing and administering training, equipment metric & fleet reporting, and supporting the field in a wide variety of the Mechanical Department functions.

Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to:

  • Develops and provides training for Lanes mechanical systems and processes.
  • Evaluates, maintains and improves efficiency of existing Mechanical Department processes.
  • Develops and implements new procedures to simplify and improve operations of Mechanical Department.
  • Review equipment repair costs, closely examine, and report out on any abnormal charges
  • Lead Insight equipment cost reporting, analyze for any inconsistencies and route to the proper location
  • Equipment/Fleet cost and inventory analysis
  • Plays a leading role in administration of Light Vehicle Fleet Management
  • Responsible for coordinating the light vehicle replacement/ordering cycle.
  • Manages all aspects of Emkay fleet management services billing cycle.
  • JDE Equipment Module; field support, and coordinates with development group on report specifications & enhancements.
  • Compile quarterly leased equipment forecast reporting for Finance.
  • Coach/oversee the day to day activities of the department administrative assistant (dotted line report)
  • Prepare insurance reports for General Accounting.
  • Liaise with field personnel on all related questions/matters
  • Develop & maintain relationships with all key field personnel
  • Carry out job duties while maintaining Lane values.
  • And other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 year college degree - 4 year preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience within an equipment department or related field.
  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization
  • Must have demonstrated customer service experience
  • Must be proficient with MS office suite
  • JDE experience required
  • Ability to multi task and work within strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently
  • Some field travel required
