WSP is currently initiating a search for a Mechanical Engineer with a PE license in Maryland for our Baltimore, Maryland office.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
 
• Mechanical Engineer shall have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering,
• five years of experience performing engineering design related functions for water and/or wastewater facilities owned by municipalities or regional water and/or wastewater authorities.
• Shall be capable of performing principal level mechanical engineering work in the field, plant and/or office; and is required to work independently.
• Shall be registered as a Professional Engineer in the state of Maryland. 
• Proficiency in the use of tools such as e-Builder and/or ProjectDox is preferred
• Shall provide technical reviews of general and mechanical-specific content of submittal packages. A design submittal package may consist of technical analyses, design criteria reports, contract plans and specifications and/or related documents.
• Shall review contract drawings to ensure details are shown and are sufficient
• Shall review contract drawings for adequately designed and detailed equipment bases/supports
• Shall review contract specifications for proposed mechanical systems, equipment and materials for sufficiency and for probable, good durability and long-term reliability
• Shall review / respond to Requests for Information (RFI) and development of field orders for Construction projects
