WSP is currently initiating a search for a Mechanical Engineer for our Washington, DC office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performance of mechanical engineering design and production support from project inception through construction
  • Leverage analytical and design skills and ability to solve complex technical problems in professional discipline
  • Utilize advanced analytical techniques and computer software tools and applications (ie REVIT) in solving technical/mechanical engineering problems
  • Exhibit learned practices to produce high quality technical and professional deliverables on Federal Government/military projects

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Strong proficiency in and previous hands-on application of REVIT design software
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing Revit for drawing mechanical building systems such as HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing.
  • Bachleor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
  • EIT or eligibility to obtain EIT certification within 6 months of hire
  • Ability to obtain a US Government-issued Secret clearance
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Mechanical system design experience on federal and/or military projects
  • Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • EIT certification preferred, PE certification a plus
  • Active US Government-issued Secret clearance
