WSP is currently initiating a search for a Mechanical Engineering Intern for our Tempe, AZ office.
This opportunity is available for a college student in good standing working towards an Mechanical Engineering degree within an accredited program. The candidate will gain experience with design projects under direct supervision of the firm's leading professionals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs basic calculations
- Prepares materials for presentations, client meetings and project progress reports
- Gathers information on clients, and prospective clients projects
- Assist in analyzing data
- Assists in requests for information, drafting correspondence for shop drawing reviews for construction services
- Provides assistance in engineering or/and other technical area
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current standing as a Rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate student actively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate or Graduate program
- Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, and producing technical drawings
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products
- The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
Preferred Qualifications
- Local candidates preferred. Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.
