We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with solid experience managing large, complex Federal multi-trade construction Job Order Projects. Demonstrated past performance and experience in Client management, proven leadership and communication skills are required.  The Project Manager will be responsible for running the full onsite management staff (comprised of a General Superintendent, Safety Manager, Estimator, Scheduler & Project Operations Assistant). DOE construction experience is a plus. This position is available immediately and is based in Livermore, CA at the DOE LLNL Facility.  Relocation assistance available.

Site Project Manager Essential Functions: 

    • The Site Project Manager is responsible for managing multi-discipline site construction operations and union craft to accomplish work safely at multiple locations at a DOE facility. Work involves managing up to 40 projects concurrently ranging in value from $25K to $1M on a $40M per year mutli-year SATOC. Responsible for providing leadership and direction to up to 100 union craft and supervisory construction professionals. Cost control and timely execution of work in accordance with job order budgets and schedules is a must. Maintain a culture of Safety is paramount.
    • The Site Project Manager shall ensure computer based construction schedules and requisite planning are prepared for each job order. Schedules may be in Critical Path chart or Gantt chart forms. Other forms may also be used for resource loading purposes. 
    • The Site Project Manager shall ensure management team provides and maintains both the short-term (three week schedules), the long-term (task duration) schedules and the overall Integrated Resource Loaded Master Schedule. The Site Project Manager shall be well versed in the use and application of Microsoft Projects
    • The Site Project Manager and General Superintendent/General Foremen shall attend meetings as required by the LLNL Site Technical Representative (STR), or designee.
    • The Site Project Manager shall develop cost performance metrics and provide the LLNS STR with estimates to complete, status reporting, productivity improvements, etc. on a routine basis, or as requested by the LLNS STR. 
    • The Site Project Manager shall also provide earned value type reporting as requested.
    • The Site Project Manager, or designee, shall attend all final job walks as required by the LLNS Technical Representative and shall cooperate fully to provide marked up and as-built drawings at the end of each Job Order. 
    •  If requested, the Site Project Manager and General Superintendent/General Foremen shall also assist the LLNS Technical Representative in providing input on jobs early in the engineering and design phases of the Project. This may include written suggestions, CAD drawing and sketches for design, material, and construction methods to be used on a Project.
    • The Site Project Manager should have a working knowledge of the Federal and State codes, regulations, and standards relevant to construction (including, but not limited to, Federal OSHA and EPA regulations, NFPA Standards, ANSI Standards, and California building codes) and be able to implement all of these in the field.
    • The Site Project Manager is responsible for all construction activities, to include quality of work, schedule compliance, work performance, and the safety of all Subcontractor employees. The Site Project Manager shall visit all job sites on a regular basis. 
    • The Site Project Manager shall also make sure, through the appropriate LLNS designee, that all necessary crafts and supervision have access to all LLNS facilities, including critical facilities and exclusion areas.
