Your mind sparks when you see opportunities

You're drawn to opportunities, innovation and new value creation - and that's why we're drawn to you. You're the manager we're looking for: able to implement strategy as well as create it. You're flexible, resourceful, and can lead a talented team to work around issues to arrive at a profitable goal. Our company admires your way of leading and would like to meet you.

Why Join Parsons?

Our Mobility Solutions Group provides planning, design, program management, construction management, and software solutions to a wide range of infrastructure clients, mainly in North America. We're an industry leader in successfully delivering complex, challenging, and high-profile infrastructure projects across all project delivery models, including integrated delivery (public-private partnership, design-build, construction management at-risk) and traditional delivery.

The Position:

We are looking for a seasoned, seller-doer Civil Group Leader for our south Florida offices. The successful candidate will play a key role in growing our business with the Florida Department of Transportation (Districts 4 and 6). Supported by our Florida and east coast road and highway engineering teams, this project manager will be involved in business development activities and managing projects upon award. Our portfolio consists of highway, bridge and water/wastewater practices and we have a strong base of business with local transportation agencies to support ongoing operations.

The job is based in our Miami, FL office. The position reports directly to the Florida Area Manager and is responsible for establishing pursuit and delivery strategies and setting the direction for the office.

Responsibilities:

You will provide direction and management for the team as well as performing project management activities on key projects to ensure on-schedule completion within budget in accordance with contractual obligations. You will plan and define program goals and devise methods to accomplish them; while leading a project team that delivers on client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies.

Welcoming different perspectives - like yours - is one of our strongest attributes

We're a community of individuals with different points of view who enjoy opportunities to share our skills and ideas. As a manager, we know that you'll genuinely value people who will articulate their perspectives while respecting those of others. We value diversity, so here, you and your team will find no limits to professional growth. We will welcome you into the stimulating process of exchanging ideas and leading others to succeed by doing the same.

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in Engineering or related technical/business field and at least 15 years of related work experience is required.
  • Incumbent should have a broad general technical and business background, as well as previous project management experience on Road and Highway design projects.
  • Florida PE required.
  • FDOT Project Management experience, with a minimum of 15 years experience delivering FDOT Major Design Projects.
  • Experience with FDOT in South Florida is required. Experience with Florida's Turnpike and/or other toll agency experience is preferred..
  • Design-Build Project Experience is not a requirement but is a major plus.
  • PD&E (FDOT Category 2.0) experience is not a requirement but desirable.
  • A Structural Engineer who has managed highway design projects is an acceptable profile.

We do our best when we compete, and so do you

We love to win. And that spirit has won us our success. As a manager, we'll value your talent for encouraging a competitive spirit by inspiring good-natured rivalry among peers - and tough rivalry with business competitors. Our staff is a diverse, yet harmonious mix of skilled individuals. And although we compete, we never forget that we're all on the same team, with the same golden opportunities for all. If you have a taste for triumph and a desire to accomplish great things, you'll thrive here.
