WSP is currently initiating a search for a Mid-Level Civil Engineer for our San Diego, CA office.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform civil/highway/rail design tasks requiring independent judgment in the evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard design or engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Perform design tasks and prepare calculations on land development, rail, and highway projects from conceptual and preliminary engineering to final design.
  • Responsible for coordination with other design disciplines, including structures, hydraulics/drainage, storm water, traffic, electrical, utilities, right of way.
  • Responsible for preparation of plans, specifications, and estimate bid packages.
  • Ensure that production of specifications, reports and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements.
  • Interact with clients, lead technical project design meetings.
  • Supervise and perform AutoCAD or MicroStation drafting to support various design teams.
