Network Analyst

The Network Analyst is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the design, installation, and connectivity of IT infrastructure components and systems to ensure stable operation of the IT assets relating to the data, and voice services. This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all new and existing hardware, software and communication services. The successful candidate will direct the activities of large projects to enhance the communications infrastructure within the organization.


  • Customer Service support
  • Develop and maintain processes for the operational support and the introduction of new network technology.
  • Identify process efficiencies within the team on an annual basis.
  • Control network uptime and performance.
  • Identify and recommend network management tools and services along with the necessary processes to monitor, and protect the network.
  • Performance reporting and tuning of the network to ensure optimal usage.
  • Responsible for the capacity planning of the appropriate network.
  • Ensure that issues with networks are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Reduce chronic outages through first the identification and secondly through root cause analysis.
  • Show leadership in evolving the practices and methodology.
  • Introduce new network/mobility/voice technologies, hardware or software that will create value.
  • Be available to assist IT projects as a subject matter expert and reference for new designs and implementations and technologies.
  • Create and maintain documentation regarding network configuration, operating procedures, and service records relating to technology infrastructure hardware (and software).
  • Manage the implementation of network initiatives


  • University degree or college diploma in the field of Computer Science or related technical experience with diploma/degree
  • 5+ years direct work experience in a network analyst role
  • The ability to adapt to change
  • Ability to learn and implement new technologies
  • The ability to work overtime and/or weekends as required is a necessity.
  • Technologies Experience: Firewalls, LAN, WAN, VPNs, MPLS, VLANs, SDWAN, Intrusion detection, SPAM, Content Filtering
  • Proficient in PowerShell a must
  • Proficient with mobility services (iOS primarily)
  • Proficient in interacting with vendors
  • Advanced Network Design experience
  • Maintain documented processes and best practices for a given environment
  • Experience with PaloAlto/HP/CISCO/NetApp/Kace/AirWatch/PureStorage
  • Experience with CITRIX and VMWare Citrix Storefront
  • Experience with VMWare ESX Server, HyperV, Virtual Infrastructure platform
  • MS SQL Server Experience an asset
  • Ability to design, implement and support large network implementations
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and managing Microsoft Windows Active Directory based systems, DNS and DHCP management
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing and analyzing networks for large enterprises
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and excellent attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and problem solving capabilities
  • Proven project management skills
  • Work effectively in situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities and multiple projects
  • Cohesity Services an asset
  • Cloud Services experience an asset
  • CA ArcServ backup and BackupExec system an asset
  • CA Infrastructure Management system an asset
  • AirWatch MDM System an asset
  • SentinelOne Systems an asset

Key Consideration will be given to individuals who:

  • Have experience in managing diverse network infrastructure systems
  • Proficient with PowerShell
  • Proficient with Citrix technologies
  • Have experience with PureStorage systems and CISCO network gear
  • Have experience with NetApp storage and network gear
  • Have solid server operating and security knowledge
