**
*D.R. Horton, Inc.*is currently looking for a*_Region Regulatory Compliance Manager_*. The right candidate will Assist in management of regional compliance with respect to the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination Systems Act (NPDES) and the federal, state and local jurisdictional requirements. This includes the Clean Water Act Sections 301, 402, and 404 which govern environmental permitting and compliance with emphasis in storm water pollution prevention and wetland protection. Verify the D.R. Horton Corporate Safety Program, the North Region Safety Program and the Division Safety Compliance Program are enforced.


*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Maintain a full understanding and knowledge of the Federal NPDES Act requirements to ensure compliance. Research and maintain a full understanding and knowledge of the requirements of each state and the relevant local requirements within the region to ensure compliance with the same
Examine and review current practices and assist in the development and implementation of strategies and improvements to ensure compliance. Develop improvements to on-going inspections, quality control practices and procedures to ensure compliance for each division within the region. Other duties as may be assigned by region or corporate
Update procedures to any innovative structural and non-structural industry BMPs to include training and education
Assist divisions with staffing and training of the Division NPDES/Safety/Regulatory Managers
Review and revise Notices of Intent/Transfers/Modifications and Terminations of federal, state and local storm water discharge and wetland permits prior to submittal
Review environmental inspections and act as a liaison to regulatory agencies and assist in providing appropriate responses as necessary to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations
Provide recurrent review of division practices, procedures, documentation policies and education along with day to day operations to ensure compliance with federal, state and local requirements
Manage and confirm programs for safety practices in the divisions are observed
Verify maintenance of OSHA records
Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
Ability to frequently travel and stay overnight
Valid drivers license
Review related contracts to ensure consistency and compliance with policies of federal, state, local EPA and/or US ACOE as well as company policy and objectives
Research, develop, implement and maintain ongoing division level education and training program regarding environmental compliance
Review internal documents and records for federal, state and local municipality compliance, provide recommendations when necessary to ensure compliance
Assist each division in developing, adopting and achieving cost-efficient/cost-effective measures




*Required Qualifications*

* Associates Degree (A.A.)
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral form or via DRH applications
* Proficiency with MS Office and email
* Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance color vision and peripheral vision
* The noise level is generally moderate

*Preferred Qualifications*

* Five years related experience
* Ability to participate in continued education to remain current with changing regulations
* CPESC, CESSWI and CISEC certifications
