Exciting opportunity for an Office Engineer with experience/interest in water/wastewater projects in Atlanta, Georgia!  A driven and motivated Office Engineer is needed to manage the administrative activities within a limited scope to ensure the fulfillment of contractual requirements while meeting the company's safety, budget, and schedule goals.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement, Subcontractors and Vendors

o   Prepare subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, and other commitments in CMiC.

o   Contact appropriate vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing information and scopes of work quotations.

o   Perform scope and price reviews to ensure complete coverage of the work.

Documents

o   Update and distribute documents and logs such as design drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, potential change items, change orders, schedules, punchlists, etc.

o   Generate a submittal log at the onset of the project, and review submittals for compliance and compatibility. Expedite submittals as needed to ensure that construction activities aren't delayed.

Owner Contracts

o   Read and review the project's contract.

o   Review design drawings and specifications to identify potential issues.

o   Generate and process RFIs; prepare change orders to the owner's contract in CMiC.

Job Budget, Cost, and Accounts Payable/Receivable

o   Prepare and submit budget changes; assign costs to the correct job cost structures. 

o   Review unpaid subcontractor and vendor invoices and cost code to ensure payment according to terms.

o   Prepare owner invoices.

Schedule and Quality

o   Ensure materials and equipment are delivered in accordance with schedule requirements and verify l deliveries for compliance to contract requirements and submittal data.

Candidates must have a four-year degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, previous construction experience, a desire to build a career within the construction industry, and the ability/willingness to travel.
