Job Summary:

Develops the company's marketing strategy in accordance with the short- and long-term strategic goals by studying economic indicators, tracking demand by company services, identifying customers and their current and future needs, and monitoring the competition. Responsible for the overall member experience by introducing innovative products and services to help secure our core purpose. Responsible for employee experience by training on new credit union products and services and primarily a lead in working with managers to ensure training and support.


  • Leads the formulation, implementation, evaluation and administration of the company's marketing and market development functions to include new product/service evaluation, development, and implementation.

  • Achieves financial objectives by establishing objectives; developing budgets; controlling costs; maximizing use of assets. Ensures continual analysis (i.e., Marquis) to measure and improve services. Approves all expenditures of annual marketing budget.

  • Monitors and provides recommendations to improve member's experience. This includes product / services as well as staff interaction with the members.

  • Works with the management team in providing oversight to the overall direction of employee training as well as reward systems. Helps ensure our employee engagement aligns with our core purpose.

  • Ensures that marketing promotions meet or exceed set objectives. Measures results on major campaigns and reports results to President/CEO and Chief Retail Officer/CRO. Presents and communicates all marketing programs to management and personnel.

  • Participates on various boards and committees for financial and advertising industries and reports market information to executive management. A participating member of Pricing Committee and ALCO within the credit union.

  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

  • Effectively hires, trains, mentors, and directs the activities of department personnel. Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Reviews and evaluates performance of subordinate personnel, and recommends salary adjustments, promotions, discharges, and other personnel required actions.

  • Coordinate's usage of third-party financial analysis tools including but not limited to customer data compilation, MCIF and customer survey.


  • Minimum 7+ years of similar or related Marketing experience

  • College Degree in Marketing, Finance, or related field

  • MBA preferred

  • Excellent communication

  • The ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust.

  • Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequently complex, senior level dialogues.

  • Professional level of written communication skills is essential to the position.

  • A working knowledge of basic data processing system concepts pertaining to desktop publishing and MCIF is necessary.
