The Big Picture:

Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Senior Estimator with an entrepreneurial spirit, to help provide leadership, coordination, and final preparation of estimates on large and complex work projects in our new Green Hydrogen Infrastructure Group. Experience on projects in Hydrogen and other Industrial Gas, Chemical, Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas or Power sectors with strong process mechanical and instrumentation & controls expertise is preferred.

What will you be doing?

Organization, flexibility, outstanding customer focus and strong communication are critical in performing duties which include, but are not limited to:

*Lead estimating efforts on large and complex projects
*Build and maintain relationships and network through established relationships
*Provide conceptual estimates, detailed estimates, detailed self-perform work estimates and cost models
*Strategically plan and execute estimates that serve our clients, finding solutions that bring best value and an exceptional experience to all stake holders
*Determine pricing to be used in final estimate
*Collaborate with all team members, owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners to ensure complete understanding of the project scope

Other duties, as assigned including:

*Research and analyze historical project data for application to current project
*Assist in selecting building systems
*Assist in selecting software programs to be utilized
*Assist in project scheduling
*Lead estimating effort across multiple functions, this could include leading team members and/or working with other functions to complete estimate
*Responsible for the direction, training, mentoring, management, and timely performance evaluation of estimators

How will you succeed?

*Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
*Strong teamwork/collaboration orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
*Comfortable with ambiguity and collaborating across teams
*6 years construction estimating experience
*Organized and detailed with proven ability to fulfill all responsibilities for multiple, complex projects
*Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
*Proficient with building/estimating techniques and software: ISqFt, Winest/Bid2Win, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Bluebeam/PDF, Google Earth
*Providing estimates using process piping knowledge, understanding of integration of complex process mechanical equipment and associated electrical and instrumentation components and systems.

Education:

*Associates or Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering or similar or equivalent experience
*LEED AP, DBIA professional, preferred
