*D.R. Horton, Inc.*is currently looking for an_**__*Project Engineer-TFI*_ in the Operations Department.The Project Engineer will support the Project Manager in preparing/reviewing bond applications for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) as required by the Texas Municipal Utility Districts (MUDs) serviced by Tierra. This position will be responsible for tracking and monitoring the MUD reimbursable amounts due to D.R. Horton and the other developer clients of Tierra.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Coordinate information sharing and work distribution among various land acquisition, land development and engineering teams in support of the issuance of development bonds for Tierras MUD clients
* Prepare and submit MUD bond applications for TCEQ
* Work with the land acquisition and land development teams of Tierras developer clients to monitor and track the amounts due from development bond offerings placed by the development districts controlled by the developer
* Support the Managing Directors of Tierra in the creation and preparation of bond issue reports, supporting attachments, and checklists as required by the TCEQ for the approval of new development bonds
* Represent the interests of Tierras developer clients at MUD meetings as necessary
* Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with the TCEQ
* Liaise with project managers and management to secure resources necessary to move a project forward
* Analyze, interpret, and stay current on latest regulations and criteria for local, state, and federal regulatory agencies
* Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

*Education and/or Experience*

* Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited college or university; must be a registered and active E.I.T. in the state of Texas with ability to obtain P.E. license or hold a P.E. license
* 3 years of engineering experience related to Land Development Projects
* Engineering background required
* Knowledge of the TCEQ bond application and supporting processes is required
* Must have a vehicle and a valid drivers license
* Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral form or via DRH applications
* Proficiency with MS Office and email

*Preferred Qualifications*

* Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft office platforms
* Experience in master planned communities
* Possess interpersonal skills, apply effective time management, have strong written and verbal communication skills, provide analytical thinking, and be highly organized
