The Beam Team has served America’s most respected brands as a leading commercial construction and fixture installation company for three decades, and we have a career opportunity for a ground- up Construction Project Manager working with our commercial division on ground-up retail, restaurant and hotel construction team!

As a ground-up Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient execution of commercial construction projects as directed. These projects will consist of retail, restaurant, and hotel projects ground-up.


  • Oversee projects as assigned by Director of Project Operations/Business Unit Director.
  • Manage 5-10 projects simultaneously at any given time, under various scopes of work and timelines.
  • As the point of contact on assigned projects, performs a variety of highly skilled duties such as: assembling, coordinating and managing multidisciplinary technical review teams.
  • Facilitates and troubleshoots the myriad of problems associated with developing complex systems or with coordinating and development, and design projects.
  • Provides highly skilled technical and management advice and assistance to department management and personnel.
  • Coordinates schedules of staff and other relevant parties.
  • Assists in developing departmental plans, goals, objectives, policies and procedures
  • Responds to inquiries about projects
  • Manage day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple and/or large-scale projects in Procore.
  • Maintain strict adherence to schedules of projects within Microsoft Project application and communicate with
  • Manages Superintendents on a daily basis to ensure assigned projects are on track for completion.
  • Work directly with project coordinator(s) to ensure commitments, change orders, and budgets are approved prior to any work being completed.
  • Strong focus on team environment.
  • Minimize company exposure and risk across assigned projects.
  • Meet reporting expectations of customers for assigned projects.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and distributed appropriately.
  • Plan projects while developing and organizing all related information, including accurate and timely reporting and billing.
  • Meet margin requirements on all projects.
  • Maintain contact with client management personnel to ensure ongoing satisfaction with assigned projects.
  • Communicating with the customer representative(s) in a supportive and professional manner at all times.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Work at a desk location in an office environment for extended periods of time utilizing typical office tools/equipment.

  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds from floor to waist level and carry such objects for at least 30 feet.
  • Ability to travel to job sites and review project status/completion, create punch lists, and confirm successful completion of said punch lists is necessary.
  • Job requires ability to travel both inter- and intrastate up to 25% of the time.
  • Having reliable transportation available to get to job sites is essential.

  • 5+ years’ experience performing project management-related tasks.
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Proven educational development beyond high school in areas of business management and/or project administration. Education may be waived in lieu of demonstration offsetting experience, which relates to the requirements of this position description.
  • High level of written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and familiarity with computer programs such as Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook is required.
  • Having the skills, knowledge and ability to prepare and organize documents to the point they maximize field effectiveness and support profitability achievement is a critical aspect of this position.
