PROJECT MANAGER A minimum of seven (7) years-experience as a project manager for similar construction management projects and demonstrated knowledge of, abilities to, and/or hands-on experience in the following:

Qualifications

  • Transit and transportation projects;
  • Leading preliminary design, final design, and procedures for similar construction projects;
  • Principles, practices, and techniques of project management to coordinate, review, and provide expert technical management for the assigned projects;
  • Project controls including critical path method scheduling and budgetary control systems;
  • Engineering requirements, program/project policies and procedures by which the Authority is governed;
  • Federal, state, and local transit administration regulations and policies;
  • Making recommendations on difficult engineering issues;
  • Applying new and creative engineering solutions to complex engineering, technical and project management problems;
  • Independently organizing and carrying out assignments with minimum direction as well as the ability to function effectively as a leader of highly professional personnel;
  • Resolving issues with contract fulfillment in a timely manner and ensuring that all aspects of the program remain on schedule and within budget; and Communicating effectively.

OFFICE ENGINEER
Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field;
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of seven (7) years of work experience in related field, of which two (2) years shall be in the transportation industry;
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in design, construction, or major repair/rehabilitation teams for infrastructure projects;
  • Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced engineering environment;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong technical writing skills; and
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD and ProCore.

CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER
Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, civil engineering technology, or similar;
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the District of Columbia, Virginia, and/or Maryland;
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of Construction Engineering work experience in a relevant field of specialization, of which four (4) years shall be in the rail/transit industry;
  • In-depth knowledge of client's design criteria, standard drawings, and administrative and technical specifications;
  • Exceptional leadership, project management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills;
  • Demonstrated experience in development of contract specific language, development and implementation of contract management policies and procedures, and contract change management;
  • Ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders;
  • Knowledge of, and practical experience in, federal procurement regulations;
  • Ability to obtain OSHA-10 construction certification;
  • Successful completion of client's Railway Worker Protection (RWP) certification class;
  • Availability to visit the construction site outside of business hours, when relevant;
  • Excellent mathematical, organizational, and time-management skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Procore; and
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

CONSTRUCTION FIELD INSPECTOR
Qualifications:

  • A minimum of an associate's degree in a related field plus a minimum of three (3) years demonstrable experience in construction inspections;
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of five (5) years of work experience in a related field, of which two (2) years shall be in the transportation industry;
  • Ability to read construction documents (i.e., drawings and specifications) to understand goals and objectives relative to assigned project work sites;
  • Direct working experience with Tunnel Ventilation Projects;
  • Ability to obtain OSHA-10 construction certification;
  • Must be able to successfully complete client's Railway Worker Protection (RWP) Certification class;
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 quality standards and its application to planning, design, and construction; and 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Procore.

TECHNICAL WRITER
Qualifications:

  • A minimum level of five (5) years’ experience in technical writing for infrastructure planning and/or engineering projects;
  • Experience in technical writing for standards, rules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and handbooks; and
  • Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
