Construction Project ManagerPURPOSE:Manage complex projects with multiple detailers, products and vendors from estimating to final completion. Cultivate a positive customer service environment while maximizing profits for Harris Rebar. BASIC FUNCTIONS1. ƒ Must adhere to Harris Rebar™s safety programs and standards.2. ƒDemonstrate conduct consistent with Harris Rebar™s vision and values.3.ƒReview contract documents/drawings and coordinate detailing efforts to ensure that we supply products and services in the most cost effective and efficient manner.4.ƒProvide total contract management of each project assigned, including coordination of the detailing, scheduling, delivery and costs of products and services utilizing the company business system, industry standards and other company resources.5.ƒOversee efforts to ensure that Harris Rebar fulfills contractual obligations on the assigned project(s).6.ƒCoordinate project requirements with the contractor™s representative as well as with the rebar installer, engineer and/or architect using Harris Rebar™s contract management guidelines.7.ƒSchedule the detailing and delivery of required products and services with the contractor, detailers, and Harris Rebar production staff as needed.8.ƒReview changes to the project to determine their scope, ensure the accuracy of same, and then process the appropriate documentation in accordance with the company™s change order procedures.9.ƒAssist in the change order process culminating in the acceptance of the change order by the customer.10.ƒInterpret and explain plans and contract terms to appropriate staff, workers, and customers.11.ƒRepresent the company in project meetings as needed.12.ƒWork with Detailing Manager to help control the financial aspects of contracts to protect the company™s interest and simultaneously maintain a good relationship with customers.13.ƒFormulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs and scheduling.14.ƒPerform other duties as requested by the Branch Manager.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1.ƒLegally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future2.ƒBachelor™s degree or equivalent industry experience3.ƒAt least ten years™ experience as a rebar detailer and/or demonstrated construction project management experience4.ƒAt least three years of experience as a supervisor of detailersPREFERENCES1.ƒAbility to apply ACI codes and CRSI standards required2.ƒExperience in customer relations and resolving problems or disputes3.ƒA basic knowledge of contract law, standard business practices and human relations4.ƒStrong mathematical skillsSELECTION CRITERIA1.ƒAbility to handle a variety of projects simultaneously and manage time/meet deadlines2.ƒEffective leadership skills; ability to coordinate own and others™ actions3.ƒExcellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills necessary4.ƒCritical thinking skills and the ability to use all applicable toolsSPECIAL DEMANDS1.ƒOccasional travel and job site visits will be required2.ƒProtective equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, etc. must be worn when on the worksite3.ƒWork schedule may include hours beyond the normal business dayPHYSICAL DEMANDS1.ƒTypical office activities2.ƒWalking, sitting, standing, bending3.ƒUsing hands to operate objects, tools, computers and other electronic equipment4.ƒLifting/handling computers and related equipment5.ƒVision abilities including close vision and adjusting focus6.ƒModerate noise level
