WSP is currently initiating a search for a Project Risk Manager for our Oakland, CA office.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective risk management plans;
  • Manage risk analysis activities including risk identification, assessment, analysis, mitigation planning, and tracking of identified risks;
  • Establish project risk performance metrics;
  • Proactively interface with multi-disciplinary team of engineers, managers, sub-consultants and clients in the identification, assessment, management and reporting of project’s risk exposure;
  • Work with the project controls staff to incorporate appropriate risk in the cost and schedule assessments and establishing contingencies; and
  • Facilitate risk workshops. 


<div>Talent is the essence of meeting our client’s objectives, goals and challenges.  If this sounds like a fit for you, we’d love to have that first discussion of you joining our team.</div> <div> </div> <div>Minimum Qualifications:</div> <ul> <li>10+ years’ experience in risk management working for construction or engineering firm, preferably Transportation/Infrastructure projects;</li> <li>Demonstrated working knowledge of cost risk analysis software (@Risk or Crystal Ball etc.) and schedule risk analysis software (Primavera Risk Analysis etc.);</li> <li>Experience in conceptualizing and developing risk models using analytical methods;</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in developing and running integrated models combining cost and schedule information;</li> <li>Proven experience in effectively reporting and communicating risk analysis outcomes to wider project team; and</li> <li>Confidence to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external staff.</li> </ul> <div> </div> <div>Preferred Qualifications</div> <ul> <li>Experience with Federal Transit Authority’s (FTA’s) and Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA’s); risk oversight procedures and processes; </li> <li>Experience with Full Funding Grant Agreements (FFGA) applications;</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred but not mandatory.</li> </ul> <div> </div> <div><strong>About WSP USA </strong></div> <div><strong> </strong></div> <div>WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms. Dedicated to serving local communities, we are engineers, planners, technical experts, strategic advisors and construction management professionals. WSP USA designs lasting solutions in the transportation, buildings, energy, water and environment sectors.
