WSP is currently initiating a search for a PTC Interoperability Lead for our Newark, NJ office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the PTC Program lead for all Interoperability related functions for all tenant and host railroads.
  • Serve as lead in teaming with other technical experts to solve complex interoperabity issues with other Northeast Corridor Railroads.
  • With the support of scheduling experts, maintain integrated schedules that are coordinated across all tenant and host railroads for PTC and I-ETMS implementation.
  • Assist the program team in preparing and submitting required technical documentation to the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA)
  • Assist the program team in running weekly coordination calls with all tenant and host railroads to ensure consistent and accurate communication.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 15 years experience working in the railroad or transit business in any capacity (agency, consultant, contractor, supplier)
  • Knowledge of and experience with the wayside systems associated with a railroad or transit environment.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities in a logical and orderly manner
  • Good communication, writing and client engagement skills
  • The ability to work in a disciplined manner with no supervision
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
This role is subject to a client mandated drug/alcohol testing policy. As such, employee may be subject to random drug/alcohol tests. A copy of the client mandated drug/alcohol testing policy will be provided during employee onboarding and is available upon applicant request.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Specific experience deploying a PTC or I-ETMS system on a railroad or transit system
